Hat Yai- Day 3 @ Songkhla Lake and Floating Market

Finally I'm writing the last post for Hat Yai. It has been delayed for almost half a year. The last few stops were Songkhla Lake, Songkhla beach (The one with the mermaid combing her hair statue) and floating market. Due to our greediness, we ate at the floating market and down with severe food poisoning.

During the journey back home, I started to feel nauseous and vomited several times. My dear also suffered the same fate along with a little boy from our tour group. He too ate at the floating market. Perhaps, it was our luck. Just beware and be selective when buying food from there ok? Good luck!

Oh no…the sky was turning black

Doesn’t he looked like “Ben 10”? Hahaha

We are ready!

The boat did not come with a roof. Big problem~

Errrmmmmm……

They have hats standby one the side for us…thank u…

Buffaloes enjoying themselves

Yeah…the sun came back. The rain lasted about 10 – 15 mins

At the end of every problem, there is always rainbow (hopefully)…

Songkhla beach

We didn’t bother to queue…lazy

Final stop - Floating river

This clay and bamboo drinks were a hit among tourist. It’s all yours or you can actually buy only the clay mug

Super high cholesterol

The fillings inside these cute little “fruits” were actually bean paste. Its quite yummy

Beef noodle soup.

Eventually, he failed!

Cute right?

Overall the trip was quite enjoyable except for the food poisoning part and having to travel back in 9 to 10 hours journey which is killing us softly. We went during public holiday and the queue for restroom was also hell. That’s all. Peace!

Loy La Long Hotel – Bangkok (Day 3)

For the first two nights in Bangkok, we stayed at Take a Nap Hotel in Silom for convenience and easy access to trains and monorail. We tone down most of our activities in day 3 to enjoy the slow pace of Bangkok and decided to surprise my dear with a night in Loy La Long hotel (he gave me the authorities to book any hotel I want. Yeay!)
LLL hotel is located in Yaowarat (which means China town) and famous for shark fins, seafood as well as bird nests. We took cab from Silom to Yaowarat. Its about 5-10 minutes ride or so. LLL hotel is actually inside a temple (Patumkongka Rachaworawiharn Temple). Complicated huh? Its quite easy once you get the hang of this place.

Go there and experience it yourself. What ever I written here wasn’t sufficient to describe the warmness, coziness and gorgeousness of Loy La Long Hotel.  If you don’t believe me, check out LLL review in tripadvisor ( click here ).
