Deepavali is always a nightmare for me and my family for the past 5 years as we lived in Indian Street. Really bad traffic and jam like mad just to get back home even in the middle of the night. Thank god this year, my company organized a trip to TAIWAN (5 days, 4 nights) ! How fortunate. *Skips skips skips*. Happy to say that everything went smoothly, no changes in flight schedules (tickets were purchased 7 months in advance) which cost about RM700++ per person. Ok right?
There are a few things that tourists must know when in Taiwan.
1. After using the toilet (big or small business or even aunt's visit), do not throw the tissues into toilet bowl. Throw them into dustbin provided inside T___T
2. There are hardly any rubbish bins in sights and best to keep the rubbish until you found one. (The street was so clean that you would not even consider throwing on the floor)
3. The bus exit and entry is on your right, instead of left.
4. When crossing the road, please look LEFT first only follow by RIGHT! (or else you might end up with serious injuries)
Long story short, we arrived in Taiwan around 2 something, proceed to luggage, ding dang ding dang……. and the tour guide came and pick us up. Based on the itinerary, it was supposed to be free and easy night in Taipei. However, plans changed for the better. The bus brought us to Yi Lan from the airport which took about an hour or so.
Taiwan’s packaging was so creative.
Here we are in ShangriLa Leisure Farm. Sweet~ but too bad, it was drizzling the entire time.

Releasing “Kongming” lantern
Kongming lantern was invented by Zhuge Liang whose reverent term of address (Chinese style name) was Kongming. They were first deployed at the turn of the 3rd century as a type of signaling balloon or, it is claimed, as a type of spy blimp in warfare. Alternatively the name may come from the lantern's resemblance to the hat Kongming is traditionally shown to be wearing. Source: Wikipedia.
Shangrila Leisure Farm at night
Do we look alike? Me, my younger sis and my elder brother, Silver. (Yes, that’s his name)
Shangrila Farm’s Map
Variety of games; dropping the bear =_=” and making HUGE bubbles…
The scenery from room’s window was breathtaking in the morning. Too bad, it was drizzling and had to check out soon.
Journey to breakfast… Breezy and so refreshing. Love this place a lot!
P/s: I’m sorry that I do not know how much the room cost per night. However, if interested, the details are listed below.
