Bebek Bengil (Dirty Duck diner), Ubud- Bali

Earlier on, my dear told me that I looked stress and tensed. The reasons behind my tension was because of…………….DUCK! I’m serious. It was caused by duck! I read many reviews that Bebek Bengil’s smoked duck is a must-try dish when you are in Ubud. But there is a catch. The smoked duck required at least one day advance booking. Hmmm…of course i managed to pre-order or else this post won’t exist. *Grinned*

Best to arrive around 6.00pm – 6.30pm as the sun in Bali sets kind of early. You do not wan to miss out these beautiful atmospheres

The Smoked Duck Set ( It came with satay, stir-fried vege, kerepok, white rice and juices) Rp187,000 (RM68). I wanted to order Crispy duck but the waitress asked me not too cause she said that this set would be more than enough for 2. Very true!

 

 

The meat was very succulent and it actually just fell off from the bone. Maybe some people might not like it as they put some special spices for marinating. For me, the smoked duck was nice, above average but nothing to shout about. At least now i know what were the Bebek Bengil raves all about. Hehe.

** Bebek Bengil is a walking distance from Tegal Sari. 10-15 minutes depends on your pace. Too bad I’m a slow snail.. Remember ya, only the smoked duck required one day booking in advance. The rest no need. Cheers~

Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

On the exact night of my dear’s birthday in Bali, I secretly plan to change a night accommodation to this lovely hotel, Tegal Sari. I wanted him to have a good sleep and waking up to a beautiful scenery.

Room was booked many months in advance via TT/credit card system. Currently, Tegal Sari still does not have online booking system. Yes, it was a bit tedious but trust me, it will be all worth it in the end.

After a few sight seeing, we checked in into the hotel around 4.00pm (there is no time difference between Bali and Malaysia). Immediately I was taken back by the beautiful surrounding towards the reception

Welcome drinks- Cold Ice Lemon Tea. What a nice touch.

The helpful employees brief us through the programs available and without realizing, they already took our luggage to our room.

Good morning! I do not mind waking up to this view every morning.

 

You can have the breakfast of your choice either in room or at the restaurant. Honestly, we do feel that the price for the breakfast were actually quite reasonable. Besides, no extra charge for bringing up to the room. Why not right?

 

American Breakfast Set with cappuccino, fruits bowl & fresh juice. Rp65,000- (RM22.75)

Mee goreng Set Rp55,000 - (RM19.25)

Staying in Tegal Sari was the highlight of our Bali trip. In Malaysia, I don’t think we will be able to get such a beautiful room with such spectacular scenery for a total price of RM203.70 inclusive of breakfast. Really…a trip to remember.
