Dessert Table Inspiration

In Chinese customs and traditional wedding, it hardly involves any desserts. My future hubby is Christian while I’m Buddhist and this gave us the opportunities to plan any style of wedding we want (even though there were a few concerns with my parents) cause we will be combining both cultures and traditions.

I’m always in love with how westerners plan their garden wedding whether it’s vintage, rustic, fairytale or whatsoever. I think it’s also the weather we have here that restrain us from having a gorgeous garden wedding. Malaysia’s weather is like a woman’s mood..so unpredictable (I’m a woman myself), humid, sunny, too hot, endless drizzles or to the next extreme, heavy rain till flood.

That’s it! Pale pink it is! The wedding theme….hopefully..

09.10.11 – The Magical Moment

When I was younger, I did imagine that in future when a guy proposed to me, it has to be grand; 100 of roses, fancy dinner and a diamond ring. Little did I know, I was so wrong. Nothing has to be perfect and god magically has HIS own way to show it.

09.10.11- If any of you realized, yesterday the moon was so breathtakingly beautiful, the moon corona (crown). They are seen when the clouds are thin enough that each single corona light ray reaching the eye is scattered or diffracted by only one droplet. Of course, the whole corona is made by a great many droplets individually scattering the moonlight. That's when magic happened to me too :)

I was in my worst condition, no make-up (not even drawn eye brows), wearing the most hideous home clothing and was lying on the bed like a dead worm. Out of the blue, my dear asked me “What is your dream wedding?”. Without even a single second of hesitation, I open an internet link that leads to the most gorgeous wedding (damn pricey of course). Both of us admired the photos together.

Few minutes later, he asked from me the existing ring that I'm wearing all the time. I was our first ring as a couple. Though it wasn’t fancy, I cherished it very much. Suspecting that he was going to figure out my finger size (just in case he propose), I nagged him….until he softly said:

I may not give you the grand wedding that you want…
I may not be able to provide you the luxuries and expensive things…
(I started to tear already)
And in future, we might have a lot a lot of arguments…
*and many many touching speeches*

Suddenly, he kneeled down *trying hard to find his balance on the soft bed*

“Will you marry me?”

I cried so long and so hard that I wasn’t even able to say “Yes”…..
For me, that was the most perfect thing that a girl could ever wish for.
Someone who love her for who she is. Someone that who always be there when she needed him. Someone who is her strength when she is at her weakest. Someone who will cherish her a life time. And I’m glad to say that I’ve finally found the ONE. No words could describe how happy I felt.

My dear, if you are reading this post, I just want to say I love you so so much. So much that I know I can’t live without you……

To love is to share life together
to build special plans just for two
to work side by side
and then smile with pride
as one by one, dreams all come true.

To love is to help and encourage
with smiles and sincere words of praise
to take time to share
to listen and care
in tender, affectionate ways.

To love is to have someone special
one who you can always depend
to be there through the years
sharing laughter and tears
as a partner, a lover, a friend.

To love is to make special memories
of moments you love to recall
of all the good things
that sharing life brings
love is the greatest of all.

I've learned the full meaning
of sharing and caring
and having my dreams all come true;
I've learned the full meaning
of being in love
by being and loving with you.
